Rachael soon decided to become a star. At age 10 her parents helped her to get an agent and soon
she started to be a print model and made ads for "Target", and Milkbone Brand Flavored Snacks
(she was next to a cocker spaniel named "Chivas" on the box).
Most of her model work was clothes, as well as some work in ads for 3M products and home accessories.
She also appeared in a public service announcement to encourage families to become foster parents.
Rachael appears with her dad on the front cover of the 1996 Annual Report of St. Jude Medical Inc.
Rachael modeled for around 4 years, before becoming an actress, but she still does some modeling jobs like the "LUX" ads.

Her first roles include "26 Summer Street", "The Baby-Sitters Club", "Tom and Huck" and "Carpool".
Rachael now lives most of the year in her apartment in Los Angeles but she still spends a lot of time home in Minnesota
with her parents and her younger brother Ben.
